"The Golden Years of Advertising" is a journey through the post-modern 90’s in search of an answer to the question as to how advertising and creativity actually work. Nicely rounded off with poignant commentary from Dennis Hopper (Blue Velvet, Easy Rider), director and "Grimme"-awardee Hermann Vaske ("Standing on the Shoulders of Giants") there are many interviews with artists, politicians and philosophers such as David Lynch, David Bowie, the Dalai Lama and many more.
The glitzy world of advertisers and creatives is examined analytically but none the less with a sense of humour under the microscope of inquiry. The results are honest answers to provocative questions on advertising, art and society.
